We are partnered exclusively with a global retailer who are looking for a Desktop Support Technician (1st and 2nd Line Support) to join them as they continue to grow across the whole of the UK and IRL. The role provides the opportunity to build and expand your hands on experience and skills within mobile working solutions and associated devices. The role will also entail general hardware and desktop support and you will have the opportunity to work on some exciting projects both onsite and offsite as the business continue to grow.

Location: Atherstone - commutable from Sutton Coldfield, Nuneaton, Hinckley, Lichfield, Burton-upon-Trent, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Birmingham, Coventry, Solihull, Walsall, Derby, Cannock, Stafford, Leicester, Loughborough

The successful Desktop Support / Service Desk Technician / 1st line Support / 2nd line support role include:

-Provide first and second level remote support to regional sites including the escalation of any issues to external support partners when necessary

-Manage/prioritise/assign tickets and escalations appropriately

-Occasional pre-planned support visits to regional sites to assist our Infrastructure team in their deployment activities

-Test hardware and program updates to verify whether newly implemented requirements and existing functionality operate without errors

-Create and review user manuals and knowledgebase documents

-Occasional pre-planned out-of-hours works to assist in deploying new workstation provisions in our offices

The successful Service Desk Technician / 1st line Support / 2nd line support will ideally have the following:

-Experience of supporting a MS Windows based IT environment

-Experience of supporting PC hardware, printers and peripherals

-Experience of supporting iPhones and iPads

-General passion for and a good understanding of a wide range of technology
