Service Desk Analyst / 1st Line Support
Salary: GBP19000 - GBP24000 per annum

Our client is growing their IT support function and are looking for a Service Desk Analyst/ 1st Line Support to join their busy IT team based in Hinckley, Leicestershire. For this role you will provide a single point of contact for internal users across the UK on all IT related issues. You will be responsible for logging calls, troubleshooting broad ranging problems, and then escalating calls to 2nd & 3rd line technical support teams and relevant third parties. You will have full ownership of the calls that you take: To quickly identify and resolve broad ranging incidents whilst providing high standards of customer service in line with agreed SLAs.
This position is both technical and customer service based, and is the ideal role for anyone keen to develop a career in IT support.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
·At least 1yr+ experience of working on a busy IT Help Desk / 1st line support role
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
·Excellent customer service skills
·Experience of supporting Microsoft technologies (Windows 7 O/S, O365, MS Office, Active Directory and Internet Explorer)
·Understanding of TCP/IP and basic networking
