What you’ll be doing:
- Lead Information Governance: Oversee data protection, records management, and information security, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Team Management: Supervise a Records Manager and a part-time Data Protection Compliance Manager, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
- Drive Change: Lead a major organisational project to streamline digital and physical records, ensuring efficient classification, retention, and secure disposal.
- Collaborate Across Departments: Partner with IT, legal, and operational teams to align governance strategies with organisational goals.
- Build Knowledge: Develop and deliver engaging information governance training to staff across all levels.
- Provide Expertise: Manage complex Freedom of Information (FOI) and Environmental Information Regulations (EIR) requests, liaising with external bodies as required.
