Galliford Try chose Big Red as our recruitment partner just over one year ago following an unsuccessful recruitment drive, which was partly delivered through our own and partly via a number of local suppliers. Following our decision to use Big Red they quickly took ownership of our project to recruit 4 new members into the team and delivered to an agreed timetable. The advantage we have found with Big Red is that despite being based in the Midlands they have managed our UK wide (London, Midlands, Northwest and Scotland) recruitment in the same way. The hiring managers have a face to face meeting with Big Red in order for them to gain a full understanding of the role, so that they can search and carry out the first level screening and first interview. This differentiates them from other suppliers by allowing them to present a short list of candidates that are relevant and pre-screened against our specific criteria. Our interview to hire ratio is now down to 3 -1 leading this to becoming a much less management intensive exercise. The past twelve months have been a time of considerable growth for Galliford Try and Big Red have helped us through this with minimal fuss and our managers spending considerably less time focusing on recruitment. We have been assigned an account manager whose focus is to make sure our recruitment is managed effectively and not to sell candidates or look to push alternative services. I can fully recommend Big Red's approach to any IT group dissatisfied with their recruitment process.
