The story – what we delivered, what they experienced
Calor are a leading supplier of LPG Gas, with offices in Warwick in the Midlands. Prior to working with Big Red Calor’s IT department had been using a multiple agency approach to recruitment. It was in 2008 that the recruitment process for a particular senior development was not only unsuccessful but had become particularly chaotic, the hiring manager finding himself completely inundated with poorly qualified CVs, that Calor came to Big Red. Big Red put in place their project managed process and actually brought to light a candidate that had already been put forward during the original campaign, but had been lost in the ‘noise’ of the multiple competing agencies and piles of CVs. Big Red were therefore unable to invoice for this particular placement, but it was more than worth it to prove the value of our process! We now fill all of the requirements into Calor’s IT team, and have vastly reduced the amount of management time needed for hiring new staff.

Big Red provided a friendly and professional service throughout the recruitment process. After the initial meeting, they fully understood how our business works and what type of candidate we were looking for. Using the project plan was very useful and very well organised, we had frequent catch up calls and meetings throughout the process which meant we built up a good working relationship.
